I created this Permissions WORKSHOP for the University of New Mexico. Other “permissions” related work has (and is) occurring, but it is still in flux and actuating in a variety of ways. For instance, see the PERMISSIONS book and exhibition I did for the Center of Visual Art in Denver, or the Permissions for Documenting your Conceptual Art exhibition I did for French Quarter Postal in New Orleans. There are other permissions related works underway, all in various stages of ideation and development. I made an introductory video and song for a YouTube show I called PERMISSIONS. The idea is to make short videos where people talk about what has given them permission in whatever it is that they do. I have a list of people that I want to include in this project but have not reached out to any of them.
